2020 YI WU GAO GAN (white Pu erh)

This is a very fresh, top quality WHITE PU ERH TEA – single buds only, packed full of healthy antioxidants and catechins.
The buds are handpicked from aged, tall arbor trees of the Da Ye Zhong (big leaf) varietal on an ecological environment forest, free from pesticides and fertilisers in Xishuangbanna county. After picking, the buds are sun dried (no pan frying and rolling) and then steamed and pressed in moulds in the traditional way.
Because the cake consists of buds only the appearance is gorgeous and the aftertaste is lighter than compared to tea made of full grown leaves.
White tea has the highest level of antioxidants, vitamins and minerals and is recognised by many medical institutions for its anti-cancer health benefits. It is used in traditional Chinese medicine to cool body heat and flush out toxins.
It is ready to drink now but may be laid down to age further. The flavour of the resulting tea is slightly bitter with a quick returning sweetness and a honey, flowery aroma.
