Abbey Tea has selected one of the most famous raw Pu erh tea from the Nan Nuo Shan. Picked from wild arbour trees at altitudes of between 1300-1400m, where the climate and rich organic soil produce a tea of exceptional quality. The leaves are hand-picked, withered and then hand-rolled to release moisture before being laid carefully to dry in the sunshine.

The dried leaves are pressed into 357g tea cakes at the Gao Shan Yuan Factory in Menghai.

These ancient pesticide free tea forests are home to one of the oldest, 800 years old, arbour tree, and are owned and cared for by local tea farmers who take great pride in producing a tea which is pure in origin.

The resulting tea is mellow with a soft, fruity, sweet taste and a sweet aroma.
