We are delighted to offer you one of China's most loved teas. It is a most unusual, unique, traditional Yunnan Pu erh tea.

YUE GUAND BAI literally means Moonlight tea and unlike other teas It is withered in the night under moonlight instead of during the day under direct sunlight. It is withered slightly then dried with warm air tunneled through the leaves until they are dry. It does not undergo the steaming process.

Whole wild leaves are picked from ancient, 100 year old trees, in a pesticide-free forest at altitudes of 800 meters in Gu Niang Zhai village (Girls Cottage village) on NAN NUO Shan Mountain. This is a white Pu erh tea that is aged naturally and shares a taste like white tea when it is young but over time will develop into something more like a red tea. The leaves were harvested in 2016, aged naturally and pressed in 2018.

White tea has the highest level of antioxidants, vitamins and minerals and is recognised by many medical institutions for its anti-cancer health benefits. It is used in traditional Chinese medicine to cool body heat and flush out toxins.

The resulting tea has a pure flavour, a soft, creamy taste and a mesmerising fragrance.

This is a really lovely tea, as other reviewers have said the taste and fragrance are really complex with each infusion bringing out new floral / fruit profiles. I save this one for special occasions or when I want a treat and will definitely re-order.

Wow, mind blowing tea. Such amazing complexity. Forest fruits, dark rich forest honey, watermelon rind, cane sugar, a hint of spice, vibrant hui gan and long lasting zingy mouthfeel. Flavours unravel and reveal throughout the steeps. Body feeling mind aware calm relaxed awake. Unbelievable value for money. Tea time just got better

First aged white tea I have tried. Smooth, malty, sweet and refreshing. Hard to categorise as it doesn't taste like any other tea I've had, but almost shares some characteristics with certain Oolongs and black teas. Great stuff

I've been getting into pressed aged white tea in the last couple of years and I've tried quite a few. This one is in my top 3. I've tried it gong fu style in my yixing pot, big tea pot style and in the gaiwan, it works well all styles. The yixing was best though; 7.5 grams in 120ml at 90°c. The aroma off the wet leaves is lovely, berries, warm bread and umm, aged tea! ???? The first couple of infusions are very light, which is actually a sign of good quality older tea material. Something like a light black tea, but it soon develops into a really thick, oily Puerh experience. The taste is difficult to describe, not classic white tea, not Puerh, but I really like the berry taste that reminds me of raspberry jam. Delivery was super fast, next day in fact and I'm very pleased to see that the packaging has improved: a big cardboard box filled with eco friendly packing. A must try tea.

Well balanced, smooth, not very compressed, full leaf, an unusual taste midway between white and Pu erh. It seems interesting to age.

The resulting tea has a pure flavour, a soft, creamy taste and a mesmerising fragrance.
